 TITLE: Aquatic Invasive Species Program Assistants (3 positions)
ORGANIZATION: Okanagan and Similkameen Invasive Species Society (OASISS)

JOB LOCATION: Penticton, Kelowna, and Vernon
WAGE: $15 per hour
JOB DESCRIPTION: OASSIS is currently seeking enthusiastic, creative and organized indiviuals to join our team! Up to three Summer Students will be hired for the position of Aquatic Invasive Species Program Assistant. One student is anticipated to be based in each of the three Regional Districts in the Okanagan valley: South Okanaga-Similkameen, Central Okanagan and North Okanagan. This regional program will complement the Clean-Drain-Dry program being implemented by the Invasive Species Council of BC.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The program goals are to provide students exposure to trades and technical occupations in a variety of work settings from July to August. It is an ideal opportunity for youth who are seriously considering a career path in one of these areas at BC Hydro as they make the transition from school to work. This program has evolved to draw individuals into our technical, pre-apprentice and apprenticeship programs.
