To assist in building Aboriginal community capacity to respond to children and youth with mental health concerns while supporting Aboriginal children and youth to ensure that they have equitable, timely access to meaningful and appropriate mental health services that are culturally relevant.
What does the Aboriginal Wellness Coordinator do?
The Wellness Coordinator will assist families to navigate the wellness health system to access services that they may require and to identify services available to families.
They also refer families to the Aboriginal Development clinician.
Enhance
To work with the Aboriginal community to enhance the engagement of mental health services that can play a role in improving access to services.
Education and Training and Awareness
Provide education and training to support families and community. To create awareness of mental health issues and inform families and communities on services available.

Step 1: Call the Aboriginal Wellness Coordinator
Step 2: Complete the referral form with the coordinator
Step 3: The Coordinator sends the form to the Aboriginal Development Clinician or to the appropriate service or resource
Step 4: The Clinician contacts you to set up a time to meet.
