Resources

Syilx Culture is made from the strands of the tmixw that bind us as together as a nation, and forms the core of our strength, traditions and values. The research records a historical and contemporary overview of the Syilx, including their language, governance, and society.  Protocols, governance, and the nsyilxcen language itself are key elements in defining the relationship of the Syilx people to the tmixw.  A clear understanding of this relationship is vital to understanding the deep holistic connection to the land and worldview of the Syilx people. The Okanagan Nation Alliance (ONA) endeavours to relay information data and resources arising from research projects to provide baseline information for meaningful decision making and community research.
